Question 1: What did Aditi receive on Christmas? What did Aditi want to do with it?
Answer: Aditi received a laptop on Christmas. She wanted to chat with her friends on social media and send emails to her cousins who lived abroad.

Answer: After looking at the party and sleepover posts on the wall of the most popular girl, Aditi too wanted to be part of that group. She had typed a short text for Janhavi, the most popular girl with the hope that soon even she would get invited to such parties. Aditi was waiting for a reply from Janhavi and thus was staring at the empty screen.

Question 3: Who was Rohan and how did he help Aditi?
Answer: Rohan was Aditi’s cousin who was older than her. Aditi’s parents were not very responsive towards laptops and Aditi was not old enough to set the new laptop all by herself. Rohan helped Aditi to install the antivirus software and create a fake account for Aditi to be able to use all programs on her laptop.

Answer: Aditi’s Christmas break was full of happiness for her. She not only received a new laptop but also managed to make friends with the group of the most popular girls in school. Aditi was very excited to meet them in school after their Christmas break and talk to them personally but she witnessed something very different. To her surprise everyone, including Janhavi ignored her and made her feel as if she did not exist outside the computer. This upset Aditi.

Answer: After knowing what Aditi was going through, her father asked Aditi to ignore the cyber bullies. He told Aditi that people who got pleasure out of being unkind to other would soon have no friends. He further added that such people were not worth being real friends so it was best to leave them. He told Aditi that he would talk to the head teacher about the incident and ask him to keep him updated in case anyone tried to upset her again. Lastly, he asked Aditi to give the social networking site a miss or check her settings so that only her real friends could contact her.
