Question 1: What was the light in the room that was a thousand times brighter than the night lights?

Answer: The light was of Tinker Bell that was a thousand times brighter than the night lights.

Question 2: Describe Tinker Bell.

Answer: Tinker Bell was Fairy of the size of a human hand. She was exquisitely gowned in skeleton leaf, cut low and square. She gave light by flashing about quickly.

Question 3: What did Wendy think about Peter’s name? Why did Peter have a sinking feeling after sharing his address with Wendy?

Answer: Wendy thought Peter had a very short name. Peter had a sinking feeling since he first time felt that the address was funny.

Question 4: Why did Wendy think Peter was crying? Why was he really crying?

Answer: Wendy thought Peter was crying because he had no mother. Peter was really crying because he could not stick his shadow onto himself.

Question 5: What solution did Wendy come up with to stick Peter’s shadow back on to him?

Answer: To stick Peter’s shadow back on to him, Wendy sewed the shadow on to his foot.

Answer: Peter said these words to Tinker Bell.

Answer: Yes, Tinker Bell knew where Peter’s shadow was. It was in the chest of drawers.

2. Don’t have a mother.

(a) Who said these words and when?

Answer: Peter said these words when Wendy enquired if his mother gets letters.

(b) Describe the difference in feeling that the speaker and the other person has about not having a mother.

Answer: Peter had no desire to have a mother as he viewed them as very over-rated persons. On the other hand, Wendy felt sorry for Peter.

(c) What was the real issue that had upset the speaker?

Answer: Peter was upset because he could not put his shadow onto himself.

3. ‘You did a little,’ Peter said careless, and continued to dance.

(a) Why was Peter dancing?

Answer: Peter was dancing because Wendy had sewed his shadow on to his foot.

(b) To whom did Peter say this and why?

Answer: Peter said this to Wendy as he gave himself the credit of sewing his shadow to his foot.

(c) What do you think about the nature of Peter from what he said?

Answer: I think that Peter is a careless, insensitive and ungrateful being. He likes to take credit for things he doesn’t even do. He is very childish.
