Answer: The speaker means that Julia is rude in her way of speaking. Julia had asked for bread and spoken in an impatient manner.
(c) What was the consequences that the listener had to face because of such behaviour?
Answer: Julia was asked to stay in her own room because of such behaviour.

Answer: The poor girl in the yard was thankful for the smallest gift. She was grateful for the little that she got and was always happy.

Answer: ‘She’ was compared with Julia. Julia’s mother’s intention was to make her daughter realise that she should be grateful for all that she has.

Answer: Julia frowns in anger and annoyance on hearing this example.
