Answer: Banquo is not sure if the witches are women because they have beards like men.

Answer: The witches greet Macbeth as the Thane of Glamis, the Thane of Cawdor and the future king Of Scotland.

Answer: The speaker of these lines is Macbeth.

(b) What are the ‘two truths’ is speaker is referring to?

Answer: The two truths are that Macbeth is now the Thane of Cawdor and Glamis.

(c) What is the crowning promise?

Answer: The crowning promise is the third prophecy that says Macbeth would be the future king of Scotland.
