Midnight Fun Summary

In this poem, the poet imagines how it would be if all the soft toys come to life. When it is midnight and everybody is sleeping, the teddy bears stretch, yawn and get out of their beds. They all quietly come out of the houses and get together in the dark. They happily hop on the empty streets and go to the parks. There in the moonlight, they play on the slides, go high up on the swings and get on all the rides. When the morning comes, then all rush back to their beds so that the children can hold them when they are about to wake up.
