Answer: A long walk was to Ned Perry’s house. Fred had to carry the cat in the muddy road for a long distance. The cat once escaped from his arms into the marshy field.

(c) Who was Ned? Describe what they thought Ned would be doing to see his cat missing.

Answer: Ned is the owner of the kitty. They thought Ned would be looking everywhere for the kitty and feeling sad because his pet is lost.
