When she reached the mandir, she took the garland from Maqbool and placed it at the feet of the idol. She rang all the bells of the mandir and then bent down low to do pranam. The priest gave her prasad and she immediately popped some into her mouth.
In the bazaar, she enjoyed listening to a man singing on the masjid steps and then giggled at a funny magician. She bought roasted chana and sweet potatoes from a street vendor which otherwise was not possible for her and shared everything with Maqbool. She stood wide- eyed looking up at the sky and saw a lovely kite. She also saw camels over there and it was so much fun for her. That is why she told Maqbool that, “Because of you I have had one of the most enjoyable days of my life.”
