Answer: Fables are short stories, usually about animals which are made to talk like human beings.
They are called wise tales because they give us a lesson on how to act in different situations.
Question 2: What message does the story of mice give?
Answer: The story of mice gives us a message that it is easier to offer dangerous advice than to act upon it.
Question 3: What does the fox say after not getting the grapes?
Answer: After not getting the grapes, the fox says that the grapes must be sour.
Question 4: Who was Aesop? What do we know about him?
Answer: Aesop was a man who lived in Greece over twenty five hundred years ago. Many of the fables are believed to have been told by him.
We do not know much about him except that he was a slave and wiser than his masters. We do not even know for sure whether he told stones, but they have been known as Aesop’s fables for centuries.
