Anandibai Joshi also referred to as Anandi Gopal Joshi was the first Indian female physician. On March 31, 1865, she was born in Kalyan, Maharashtra and was originally named ‘Yamuna’. She kept that name till her marriage, after which, her husband – Gopalrao Joshi – gave her the name ‘Anandi’. Below are given the questions & answers of this chapter.
