Question 1: Which role Rupa was assigned in the play? Was it in accordance with her expectations?

Answer: Rupa was assigned a role of a monkey in ‘Vanar Sena’ in the play. No, it was not according to her expectations.

‘I wish I could get Rama’s role.’

Answer: Rupa and Anu are the two speakers.

(b) Why won’t the speaker get Rama’s role?

Answer: The speaker won’t get Rama’s role because she was shorter than Radhika, who was performing the role of Sita and had a shrill voice.

Question 3: Why was Rupa suddenly asked to play the role of Hanuman?

Answer: Rupa was suddenly asked to play the role of Hanuman because Alka, who was supposed to play the role was not in a condition to act in the play as she had contracted measles and had been running a high temperature since morning.

Answer: No, the listener is not able to manage the role properly. This is because she was suddenly assigned a role of Hanuman and she could not memorize dialogues at that moment. She messed up everything and became a laughing stock for the audience.

Question 5: Rupa was sure that once on stage, she would give a brilliant performance. Do you think she really managed to give a good performance?

Answer: No, Rupa could not manage to give a good performance. This is because she was suddenly assigned a role of Hanuman and she could not memorize dialogues at that moment. She messed up everything and became a laughing stock for the audience.

Question 6: How did the audience react when they saw Rupa’s performance? Do you think her performance achieved the purpose of the play?

Answer: The audience rolled with laughter when they saw Rupa’s performance. She forgot to pin up her tail and misunderstood the prompts of her teacher. Although, the teacher got angry on her yet, the audience enjoyed a lot.
