How To Take Screenshot On Windows 10

Method 1: Using Print Screen (PrtScn)

You can easily use the Print Screen button on your keyboard to take a screenshot. The print screen button may be labeled as “PrtScn”, “Prt Sc”, “PrntScrn” or “Print Scr”.

To Take a Screenshot Without Saving as a File

Just press Print Screen to take a screenshot without saving. In this way, your screenshot will be copied on the clipboard. You can now easily paste this screenshot in any image editor, word processor or any other program which allows you to paste an image. Note: On some devices, you may need to press “Fn + Print Screen” or “Alt + Fn + Print Screen”.

To Save a Screenshot as a File

Press the Windows Key + Print Screen to do the same. Note: On some devices, you may need to press Windows Key + Fn + Print Screen or Windows Key + Ctrl + Print Screen.

The screenshot will be saved in the Screenshots folder in the Pictures folder of your device.

To Take a Screenshot of Only One Window

Click on the title bar of the window of which you want to take a screenshot. You will just have to press Alt + Print Screen. This screenshot will be copied on the clipboard and you can paste it. Note: In some devices, you may have to press Alt + Fn + Print Screen.

To Take a Screenshot of a Part of Screen

Press Windows Key + Shift + S to take a screenshot of a part of the screen. Click and drag on your screen to take a screenshot. It will get copied to the clipboard. You can paste it in any program which allows pasting of an image.

Method 2: Using the Snipping Tool

You can use the Snipping tool app of your device to easily whole select or select a part of the screen. You can also draw anything on your screenshot with the help of different types of pencil, marker, etc.
