Answer: The process of breaking down food into simpler substances that our body can use is called digestion.

Answer: Nose is the organ of smell. It helps us to smell the fragrance and odour of different substances.

Answer: An organ system is formed when a group of organs work together to perform a body function.

Answer: We should exercise regularly to keep ourselves fit and healthy. Playing outdoor games, walking, cycling, dancing and swimming are some forms of exercise that help make our body fit and strong.

Answer: The nervous system receives and sends messages between the brain and other parts of the body.

Answer: Circulatory system circulates blood throughout the body through the blood vessels.

Answer: Respiratory system helps the body to breathe in air containing oxygen and breathe out air containing carbon dioxide.

Answer: Ruchi follows unhealthy eating habits. She must avoid eating food like chips, chocolates and desserts regularly and eat more of homemade food in the right amount to maintain good health.
She must eat lots of fruits and vegetables.

Good Habit – Ruchi sleeps for seven to eight hours each night.
Bad Habits – Online gaming and spends most of her time in front of the computer and mobile phones.

Question 14: Rahul smells something burning in the kitchen. Which organs of the body help her to identify that something is burning?

Answer: Nose will help him to identify that something is burning.
