Question 1: What was the stranger wearing?

Answer: The stranger was dressed all in black and grey.

Question 2: What was he carrying? What did he put in it?

Answer: He was carrying a bag. He put every sound in the bag.

Question 3: Make a list of all the objects in the house and the sounds they make.

Question 4: When does the bathtub make a sound?

Answer: When a bathtub starts to fill, it makes bubbling sound.

Question 5: Why will life never be the same again in the house?

Answer: A stranger came to the house and put every sound into a bag and went away. So, now life has become silent and it will never be the same again.

Question 6: Give two examples of onomatopoeia in the poem.

Answer: Two examples of onomatopoeia are ticking and popping.

Question 7: Read the lines and answer the questions.

When you spread the marmalade….

(a) What is marmalade?

Answer: Marmalade is a jam made with the peels of orange.

(b) Where do we spread it?

Answer: We spread it on the bread.

(c) What is the sound made when you spread marmalade?

Answer: When we spread marmalade, it makes a scraping sound.
