Answer: The first law for robots states that a robot must not harm a human being under any circumstances. It should also not let a human being be harmed by its inaction. This means that a robot needs to ensure that a human is not harmed by its either doing something or not doing something.

Answer: Mike explained the three robot laws to Greg because they were trying to figure out why Speedy was running around the selenium pool instead of bringing the selenium back to them.

Answer: A robot cannot follow the third law if it is in direct conflict with the first two laws.

Answer: Greg said those words because he had just tricked Speedy into changing its mission. He got Speedy to prioritize his safety. Now Greg needed to assure Speedy that everything was fine and that Speedy had completed a mission that was more important than the previous one.

Answer: Every person has a different set of skills and cannot do everything on their own. Sometimes, you need help from other people to complete a task. Therefore, it is much better to combine everyone’s individual skills to achieve a common goal. This way, you will be successful in completing your task and save time because it will be done faster.
